  Best panoramic views at the top. The first part is well maintained and easy. It gets more difficult as you’re hiking up. Slippery and steep stairs at some areas.

  Agree with the reviews on here. You’ll get some scenic viewpoints of the harbor and the bay from parts of the hike. It was a fairly easy hike and im sure kids 10 and up will have a blast doing it. Took about 1.5hours to complete. Undure about the elevation gain and distance. Make sure to bring lots of water. Most of the trail is shady and breezy. But the humidity will still get you. It is slippery at some points and parts of the trail are overgrown or blocked by fallen trees. Best view of the trail was getting off right before the end, next to a big green tank. Even got to see the elusive and alien looking “coconut crab” Walking down to the memorial of the Navy P3 orion crash that also took out the tram. Up on the hill is a little fale. In my opinion the best panoramic views of Utulei/Fagatogo/PagoPago. Its a point to point trail so you will have to walk on the road sidewalks to get back to the trailhead parking. Id guess its about 1/4 mile back to your car. Highly recommend

  The first part of this hike is pretty easy and well maintained; there are two 6 inch guns, the first of which has been well restored by a local Eagle Scout. Continuing along the trail to where it connects to the WW2 Heritage Trail the trail becomes less well maintained, and is slippery and steep in places. There are trees down across the trail in several places. At one point there are ropes because the terrain is very steep; gloves would have been a welcome addition. The remains of the aerial tramway are near the end of the trail.
